Falkirk vs Dundee preview - Holt waits on McCraken

Falkirk entertain Dundee with manager Gary Holt delaying naming his side until a fitness test is carried out on David McCraken.

The defender is struggling with a calf strain and could miss out on Falkirk's attempts to make it 10 games in a row without defeat.

The Bairns would also top the table for the first time this season if they win and Hamilton lose to Cowdenbeath

Technical director Alex Smith said: "This is a huge game as we know that we would go above Dundee with a success. They will be determined not to allow that so we will have to dig deep."

Dundee's recent signings Christian Nade and Stephen Hughes will be in line for debuts after last Saturday's clash with Hamilton was rained off.

Peter MacDonald is available after missing out against Livingston a fortnight ago through injury, however Stephen O'Donnell (knee), Nicky Riley (calf) and Craig Beattie (knee) all remain out.

Assistant manager Ray Farningham said: "This is the biggest game of the season so far for both sides and it would be a terrific game to win. It would send out a positive message.

"Our away from has been good and that will need to continue as Falkirk are on a decent run."
