For Levante, Lionel Messi is like a recurring nightmare that is impossible to avoid every so often.

The Argentine has scored nine times against the Valencian outfit in 'La Liga' – more than any other player. Some of these efforts were decisive, while others simply added the gloss to already comfortable scorelines.

Since grabbing a brace against them in 2007-08, Messi has hit the target against the 'Granotas' with ease, with the exception of the 2010-11 season.

However, Levante isn't Leo's favourite goalscoring victim. That dubious honour belongs to Atlético de Madrid, against whom Messi has scored 17 times in the league, followed by Osasuna and Valencia, who have both felt the Argentine's wrath on 14 occasions.
