Arbroath 2 : 1 Stenhousemuir - Robertson ends Arbroath slump

Dayle Robertson's late strike gave Arbroath a 2-1 win over Stenhousemuir - their first victory in 12 games.

The away side went ahead after 13 minutes when good work from Sean Higgins saw Darren Smith slot home his sixth of the season.

But the lead was shortlived, with Arbroath back on level terms six minutes later thanks to Christopher Scott who picked up Robert Linn's pass before lashing in.

Sean Lynch could have restored Stenhousemuir's lead but shot wide, and Paul Sheerin went close in the first half but struck a post.

Arbroath continued to press with Chris Smith parrying Scott's late effort but their pressure was rewarded three minutes from time when Robertson was set up by Linn and he fired home from 12 yards.
