Queen of South 1 : 0 Raith Rovers - Queens edge past out-of-form Raith

Queen of the South extended Raith's run of five games without a win with their 1-0 victory.

The home side broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Ian McShane found the net from inside the penalty area.

Raith narrowly missed a chance to draw level as Ross Callachan's strike hit the post in the 35th minute, before the same player shot over a minute later.

A dangerous effort by Iain Russell nearly secured all three points for Queens and then Russell came close again as he fired over the bar on 69 minutes.

Raith's Joseph Cardle almost equalised but fired past the left post and Queens hung on for all three points.
