Queen of the South will involve new loan striker Bob McHugh against Raith.
Andy Dowie misses out with a hamstring problem while Derek Young remains out after foot surgery.
Manager Jim McIntyre said: "We brought Bob here to play and score goals for us and he will feature against Raith. I am very tempted to give him a start however I am mindful that we played well and had a good win over Alloa last Saturday.
"Raith have beaten us twice this season and their win at our place earlier in the season still rankles. They scored early and then hung on as we missed numerous chances."
Raith have skipper Jason Thomson available for their trip to Palmerston after he served a one-game ban and Calum Elliot has been passed fit to play after illness.
Goalkeeper David McGurn remains out long-term with an Achilles injury and Paul Watson remains absent due to a broken metatarsal.
Manager Grant Murray said: "Queen's will be full of confidence after a good win last weekend but we played well at Morton so we can go there looking to repeat our win from earlier in the season.
"We dug deep to secure that win after scoring an early goal. We will need that same approach to get another three points."
