Alloa vs Dumbarton preview - Alloa aim to get back on track

Alloa look for their first win of the season over Dumbarton without Jason Marr who has a thigh injury and Stephen Simmons who is banned.

Manager Paul Hartley has not yet added to his squad and he is backing his players to bounce back from a disappointing run.

"We have had a sticky patch as all teams do at some stage of the season and we will come through it. Our players were terrific up until Christmas and they will come good again," he said.

"The chance of our first win in five games and a first win over Dumbarton will ensure we are up for this game."

Dumbarton will have Stephen Grindlay in goal for a third game running when they take the field at Recreation Park as former Wasp Jamie Ewings continues to struggle with a hamstring problem.

Striker Kevin Smith has the left the club, with manager Ian Murray admitting to getting greedy after winning two games in a row for the first time this season.

Murray said: "We have beaten Morton and Cowdenbeath and now I want a hat-trick.

"A win would take us above Alloa and that is an extra piece of motivation. However they will be looking to bounce back from a couple of defeats and will be dangerous opponents."
