MANCHESTER United winger Nani is widely tipped to leave Old Trafford this month and there's a new club in the frame for his signature, former club Sporting Lisbon.
Nani is likely to leave Old Trafford in January
Nani has been linked with a move to Juventus and Inter Milan but while Sporting insist they haven't made a formal bid they would like the player back.
The Portuguese wide-man has only started five games this season and looks surplus to requirements.
Sporting's president, Bruno De Carvalho, said if there is any chance of a deal they would go for it.
De Carvalho said: “Honestly I’m surprised with this because we have not had any official news from United or the agent.
Nani celebrates but he may not get many more chances to do so at Old Trafford
“Nani is a former player and always be welcome here.
"If there is any chance we would be happy.”
Nani is in a list of players that David Moyes wants out of Old Trafford and the race for his signature is set to be one of the most interesting of the window.
