Greenock Morton 0 : 0 Raith Rovers - Morton stop rot in Raith stalemate
Posted Sunday, January 12, 2014 by PA
Bottom side Morton played out a 0-0 draw with Raith as they ended a run of seven successive defeats.
Raith goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw parried David Robertson's firm drive and opposite number Nicolas Caraux did likewise to keep out Douglas Hill's header in a cagey first half.
Laidlaw was called into action once more as he got behind a Garry O'Connor effort and pushed Dougie Imrie's right-footed strike behind as Morton pushed for the opener after the break.
Raith came to life in the closing stages but the improvement came too late to record their first victory in four games.
