Lawrence Shankland scored the winning goal on his debut as 10-man Dunfermline came from behind to beat fellow play-off hopefuls Stranraer 3-2.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 16th minute when Steven Bell headed the ball past Pars keeper Ryan Scully from the middle of the box.

Ryan Thomson nodded Dunfermline level in the 34th minute before Frank McKeown put the Blues back in front six minutes after the break.

The hosts equalised in the 58th minute when Shaun Byrne found the top corner from the right side of the box, before Shankland secured the win in the 76th minute in his first game for Jim Jefferies' side.

Dunfermline went down to 10 men in the 85th minute when midfielder Faissal El Bakhtaoui saw red for violent conduct.
