Livingston 0 : 1 Falkirk - Loy the boy for Bairns

Posted Sunday, January 05, 2014 by PA

Rory Loy's first-half penalty handed Falkirk all three points as they beat 10-man Livingston 1-0.

The visitors dominated in the opening stages and had a number of chances to break the deadlock, but they could not find a way past Livi goalkeeper Darren Jamieson.

Livingston went down to 10 men in the 25th minute when Coll Donaldson saw red for fouling Conor McGrandles in the area.

Bairns striker Loy tucked his spot-kick past Jamieson to give his side the lead.

Falkirk enjoyed the lion's share of possession in the second period but the hosts defended resolutely to prevent their opponents from adding to their lead.
