Airdrie United 2 : 1 Arbroath - Welcome win for Airdrie
Posted Sunday, December 29, 2013 by PA
A Trialist scored the winner for Airdrie as they came from behind to beat Arbroath 2-1 to record their first win since October in Scottish League One.
An early Caolan McAleer effort was fumbled by Arbroath's Scott Morrison but they eventually cleared.
Arbroath then went in front after 24 minutes through Bradley Donaldson's bullet header from six yards.
But the league's bottom side hit back after 59 minutes when McAleer's corner was headed in by Gregor Buchanan - who struck for the second game in succession.
They were in front three minutes later thanks to Trialist, who slotted in from close range which ended a long wait without a win and extended Arbroath's winless run to nine matches.
