Cowdenbeath vs Queen of South preview - Cowan missing for Cowdenbeath

David Cowan (groin) is Cowdenbeath's only absentee as they return to Central Park after two fine away performances to face Queen of the South.

The Blue Brazil welcome back Nat Wedderburn after injury as they look to build on their win at Dundee and draw at Raith, with manager Jimmy Nicholl telling his men to deliver at home.

He said: "We picked up four points from away games that no-one really saw us getting, so that is a terrific bonus.

"However, to ensure that we cash in the bonus we have to win at home, starting against a strong Queen of the South side."

Queens are out to climb the table by winning the clash, but they must do so without Derek Young after he underwent toe surgery.

Manager Jim McIntyre will finalise his side after fitness checks on Michael Paton and Gavin Reilly who have been carrying slight injuries.

McIntyre said: "We want to be looking up the way in the table and not down and winning this game would help us do that. The three points could carry us up to sixth place if other results go in our favour.

"It will not be easy as Cowdenbeath had a terrific result at Dundee and then a battling draw at Raith."
