Livingston vs Raith Rovers preview - Mampuya doubt for Livi
Posted Friday, December 27, 2013 by PA
Livingston will look to keep in touch with the promotion-chasing pack by seeing off Raith at the Energy Assets Arena with Mike Mampuya their only doubt after three months out with a knee injury.
Manager John McGlynn said: "We started strongly against Queen of the South and finished strongly. However, we dipped in the middle in the 2-2 draw. Raith are a strong side and we will need a 90-minute performance to get the three points.
"This game sees us reach the halfway point in the season and it would be great to mark it with the win that would increase our chances of being involved in the promotion chase."
Raith are without a trio of attackers as Joe Cardle is banned, Grant Anderson is ruled out with a knee problem and Greig Spence is out after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-3 derby draw with Cowdenbeath last weekend.
Kirkcaldy boss Grant Murray said: "It was disappointing to drop points in the Cowdenbeath game as we were 3-2 up in injury time. Hopefully we can bounce back from it at Livingston.
"We are up against our former manager John McGlynn and we know how hard he expects his teams to work. It will be a tough fixture but hopefully one that we can win."
