Forfar Athletic vs Ayr Utd. preview - Hilson hopes to boost Forfar

Forfar could be boosted by the return of Dale Hilson for their home game against Ayr

Hilson took part in training on Thursday for the first time since being injured against Rangers almost three weeks ago.

But while Hilson could feature, Gavin Swankie has been ruled out with a hamstring injury and Odmar Faero is unavailable due to family commitments.

Boss Dick Campbell said: "We are slowly but surely getting our season going and a win over Ayr would put us right on their coat-tails in the race for a play-off place.

"We have been leading in our last two league games and been pegged back, so I want us to get ahead and see things out in this game."

Ayr striker Michael Moffat is included in his side's travelling party despite a Scottish Football Association charge regarding betting on games involving the Honest Men hanging over him.

Adam Hunter is missing through suspension and Martyn Campbell remains sidelined due to a broken metatarsal.

Player-manager Mark Roberts said; "There was never any consideration given to not including Michael. We are looking to bounce back from a hard run of games and he will help us do that.

"We have played Rangers once and Dunfermline three times in our last four games and that is hard-going for a part time side."
