Stranraer vs Brechin City preview - Stranraer at full strength
Posted Friday, December 13, 2013 by PA
In-form Stranraer welcome Brechin City to Stair Park and manager Stephen Aitken has a full squad to choose from with the exception of winger Marc Corcoran, who remains out due to a hip injury.
The Blues sit third in the table, with their visitors in eighth, and Aitken believes that if his men end the season above the Glebe Park outfit then they will have had a tremendous campaign.
He said: "Brechin are a top-four side who will challenge for promotion and the longer we stay further up the table than them, the better our season will be."
Brechin have Paul McLean unavailable as he is serving a one-match suspension but manager Ray McKinnon welcomes back Ewan Moyes and Stuart Anderson from bans.
Bobby Barr is expected to continue his recovery on the bench following recent groin surgery.
McKinnon said: "Having Bobby available at all just now is a bonus as he was not expected back until 2014. He will get some of the game at Stranraer and he is a tremendous weapon to have in our armoury.
"We are in a disappointing position just now but I have every confidence in the players to turn it around."
