Former St Johnstone and Blackpool striker Keigan Parker could play as a trialist for bottom-of-the-table Airdrie against East Fife after impressing in a midweek reserve game.

Parker is looking to step back into the senior ranks after an 18-month gap and recently-appointed Diamonds boss Gary Bollan is considering using the 31-year -old.

Also available to Bollan is new loan signing from Dundee United, Ross Gilmour, but Chris O'Neill (groin), Grant Drummond (knee), Grant Evans (ankle) and John Boyle (knee) all remain out.

Bollan said: "We want to turn our home ground into a venue opposing teams fear, starting with the game against East Fife."

East Fife's former Scotland midfielder Stephen Hughes is available after illness but he may not feature as interim manager Gary Naysmith is unwilling to change the side that defeated Stenhousemuir 1-0 in his first game in charge.

Gary Thom is suspended, Paul Willis remains out with a foot problem and Ross Brown is doubtful.

Naysmith said: "Last week was a good performance but there is more to come from this group of players. Airdrie will have targeted three points from this game as they are at home and playing a side they can drag into things.

"It would be great get the win that will take us further away."
