Livorno vs AC Milan preview - Kaka keen to reach milestone

AC Milan midfielder Kaka is hoping to celebrate his 100th goal with the Rossoneri colours at struggling Livorno on Saturday.

Kaka got on the scoresheet in last weekend's 3-1 triumph at Catania and is one goal shy of a century of goals.

The Brazilian player will have a further motivation to hit the target this weekend with Kaka having yet to score in an official game at the Armando Picchi stadium.

"The 99th goal arrived and I'm delighted to have helped the team win," Kaka said to www.acmilan.com. "It was an important victory for us and it will no doubt give us a boost in confidence.

"Now I will prepare something special in order to celebrate my 100th goal which I hope will arrive this weekend."

The win in Sicily was Milan's first success on the road this season and halted a five-match winless run in Serie A for the Rossoneri.

The result eased the pressure on coach Massimiliano Allegri, whose side has climbed to eighth place.

"We still have room for improvement but I hope we can give continuity to this win," Allegri said.

Milan are still without injured defender Ignazio Abate and striker Robinho but welcome back defender Philippe Mexes.

Rivals Livorno go into the game having endured a dismal month of November which saw them lose to Inter Milan, Juventus and Chievo.

Amaranto coach Davide Nicola has received the backing of club president Aldo Spinelli after three consecutive defeats.

A statement of the club read: "Livorno president Aldo Spinelli wants to clarify that the Amaranto club has never thought of contacting other coaches to replace Davide Nicola.

"Before last weekend's game against Chievo, the team had handed good performances and we must all remain united to defend our Serie A status."

Livorno have failed to score in their last three league games while they have given away seven goals in as many matches.

Last weekend's 3-0 loss at Chievo dropped Livorno to 18th place, level on 12 points with Bologna, who hold the last safety position.
