The Colombia national side star and Monaco forward, Radamel Falcao García has been guest editor of a special edition of the magazine 'Cromos', which will be on the newsstands this weekend. Falcao, who has studied journalism, wrote an editorial for the edition, with the title "With my boots on", the magazine informed the Spanish news agency Efe.
Falcao's basis and inspiration for this special 250-page edition of 'Cromos' were eleven values: to love; to dream; to lead; to admire; to create; to help; to trust; to enjoy; to share; to persevere and to triumph. Other columnists alongside Falcao on the project are the Argentinians Jorge Valdano, Carlos 'Mostaza' (Mustard) Merlo and Atlético de Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
André Villas-Boas, manager of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, also features, as do Falcao's parents, Radamel García and Carmenza Zárate, as well as old friends of his from his home town and team-mates from the clubs he has played for. He began his career in Argentina, and then moved to Portugal, then to Spain and now he plies his trade in France.
'Author's edition' is the name given to a magazine with a guest editor, and this one also includes Falcao's favourite restaurants, where he most likes to go on holiday, the clothes he wears and other details of his life in general.
The edition also includes illustrations of Falcao's life drawn by artists from both Europe and South America.
