Falkirk 4 : 0 Cowdenbeath - Millar time for Bairns

Posted Sunday, November 24, 2013 by PA

A second-half brace from Mark Millar helped Falkirk to a 4-0 win over strugglers Cowdenbeath.

The visitors dominated in the early stages and had a number of good opportunities to take a first-half lead.

The best of them fell to Kenneth Adamson whose free-kick clattered the bar in the 29th minute.

On-loan Dundee United midfielder Millar put the hosts in front six minutes after the break when he slid the ball past Cowden keepper Grant Adam from the middle of the area.

The hosts made it 2-0 in the 75th minute when Rory Loy rifled in from close range before Millar slammed home number three nine minutes later.

Scott Shepherd then completed the rout in the 87th minute, crashing his shot in off the underside of the bar.
