Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini is confident his side can extend their good run of form when they host Hellas Verona on Sunday.
The Grifoni have lost just of their last five league games, following their 1-0 triumph over Parma with a 2-0 win at Lazio last time out.
The result lifted Genoa to eighth place in Serie A and Gasperini is upbeat about his team's chances this weekend.
"We are showing great heart and character," Gasperini said. "We must continue like this.
"We really needed to obtain a few positive results in order to increase the enthusiasm in the camp.
"We were solid and focused against Lazio and, for the second game in a row, we kept a clean sheet.
"We need to enjoy this moment and make sure it lasts as long as possible."
Fans at the Luigi Ferraris stadium can be optimistic about seeing a thrilling game on Sunday with the visitors also in fine fettle.
Hellas, who gained promotion to Italy's top flight this summer, go into the game on the back of two successive wins.
Sunday's 2-1 victory over Cagliari was Hellas's sixth win at the Marc' Antonio Bentegodi stadium and lifted the promoted outfit to fifth place, level on 22 points with Inter Milan, who are fourth.
"We will try to make life difficult for Genoa and make the most of our enthusiasm," Hellas midfielder Jacopo Sala said.
"We know we will face a team that is showing good form and will want to do well in front of their home fans."
The visitors will look to replicate the form that saw them beat Bologna 4-1, their first win on the road this season.
Hellas coach Andrea Mandorlini welcomes back striker Juan Manuel Iturbe, who has shaken off a muscular injury and will partner Luca Toni in attack.
