Glasgow Rangers vs Airdrie United preview - Little loss big concern

Posted Saturday, November 09, 2013 by PA

Rangers will be without Andy Little and Richard Foster for their Scottish League One game against Airdrie.

Little is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the year with a broken cheekbone and broken jaw sustained in the midweek win over Dunfermline, while Foster is likely to be out of action for several weeks with an ankle injury picked up in the same match.

Bilel Mohsni will play on Saturday despite suffering a broken nose in Wednesday's game, as will Lee McCulloch, who had six stitches in a head wound during the clash at Ibrox, and goalkeeper Cammy Bell, who picked up a knock late on.

Airdrie will have Andrew Duncan in goal as a move to play on-loan keeper Tony Bullock for a second time against Rangers in a week has been blocked.

The Diamonds' regular number one, Scott Gallacher, is on loan from the Ibrox side and cannot feature, while Airdrie manager Gary Bollan will also be without Chris O'Neil (groin) and Grant Evans (ankle).

Bollan said: "It appears that Tony's loan move has hit complications, so Andrew will play.

"I was pleased with a lot of what I saw last week even though we lost 3-0.

"I'm looking for the players to build on the good things I saw."
