Queen of South vs Hamilton FC - McKenna back for Queens
Posted Friday, November 08, 2013 by PA
Queen of the South have Stephen McKenna available as they face Championship leaders Hamilton just seven days after knocking the New Douglas Park side out of the William Hill Scottish Cup.
On-loan St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark keeps his place as Calum Antell is out with a foot injury, Paul Burns remains absent after a groin problem and Andy Dowie is rated as a doubt.
Manager Jim McIntyre said: "There was not much between us last weekend and I would expect this game to be the same. They are a good side who dominated early on before we got to grips."
"We need to avoid that happening again."
Hamilton player-manager Alex Neil will miss out against the Doonhamers for a second week running due to a stomach muscle injury and Accies' top scorer James Keatings will also be missing due to a calf problem.
Neil is looking for his men to bounce back, although he is not being overly critical.
He said: "We were the better side for the first hour but we just simply could not score. It was obviously disappointing to go out, especially to a goal from a set piece, but the performance was okay.
"If we play like that again and add goals to our game then we will be fine."
