Real Sociedad vs Osasuna preview - Bravo: We have to learn

Real Sociedad goalkeeper Claudio Bravo hopes his side can learn from the experience of throwing away two points against Real Valladolid during the week when they host Osasuna on Saturday.

The Basques were 2-0 up at the Jose Zorilla stadium and heading for their third consecutive win, but conceded two goals inside three minutes and would have lost the game in injury time had Bravo not saved a penalty from Patrick Ebert.

The goalkeeper told a press conference: "We cannot afford to think that a game is done and dusted and give so much advantage to our opponents.

"We have to think that this cannot happen again and avoid that carelessness, we have to be more applied.

"When bad things happen you want to play again quickly and win the next game however you can.

"I think that playing at home again so soon after could be beneficial to us because the last game is still fresh in the memory and that could be good for us, and if we get the win that will help us to keep growing.

"At least we got a point in the end [against Valladolid] and if we win on Saturday, we'll make the point beneficial to us."

Coach Jagoba Arrasate told his pre-match press conference that centre-back Inigo Martinez has been able to train after missing the trip to Valladolid with a muscle strain, while Liassine Cadamuro, who stood in for Martinez, has a knock.

Sociedad host Manchester United on Tuesday in what is a must-win game if they are to have any hope of progressing in the Champions League.

Arrasate admitted he would make changes to his side but said: "It will be a competitive and reliable team.

"Tomorrow we have an important game and if we win we will forget all about Valladolid."

He also hinted a win could propel his team, currently ninth in the Primera Division table, towards challenging for the European spots.

"We want to make it 10 points out of 12 so we have the right to think about other objectives," Arrasate said.

Osasuna make the short trip to San Sebastian after beating Rayo Vallecano 3-1, a result which lifted them out of the relegation zone.

Although Miguel de las Cuevas was sent off in the game with Rayo, he is available for selection against Real Sociedad after the Spanish Football Federation postponed their weekly meeting, in which the sanctions are ratified, due to a public holiday.

Full-back Damia Abella is also available after serving a suspension.
