Dumbarton will give Nicky Phinn and Steven McDougall fitness tests ahead of kick off against Cowdenbeath to see if they can join the squad that won 2-1 at Falkirk last weekend.

The Sons have Colin Nish available after suspension however they miss Scott Smith and Hugh Murray due to ankle injuries with a groin problem keeping Scott Agnew out.

Manager Ian Murray looking for his side to kick-start their season at home.

"We have done well in away games and it would be great to start doing that at home," he explained. "Cowdenbeath defeating Morton 5-1 was a fantastic result so we will have to play well to win."

The Blue Brazil will list the same fully-fit and suspension-free squad that won so handsomely against Morton if David Cowan passes a fitness test.

Central Park manager Colin Cameron said: "It would be very hard to change a team after such a good performance. It is not quite the same again as we will alter our tactics slightly as Dumbarton attack with pace.

"A win would take us above them but they are coming into the game with confidence as well so we cannot just turn up and win. We can however have another good day if the boys now truly believe how good they can be."
