Alloa Athletic vs Queen of South preview - Hartley waiting on Marr

Alloa defender Jason Marr is the only doubt for the meeting of the two sides promoted to League 1 last season when Queen of the South visit Recreation Park.

Marr will be included if he passes a fitness test with manager Paul Hartley looking for his men to bounce back from last Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Livingston.

Hartley said: "We almost came away from that game with a point which we would not have been deserved. We did not play well however it is not very often I have said that about this group of players.

"I am sure they will play better in what is always a tough fixture."

Queen of the South will again have on-loan St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark in their line-up as Calum Antell remains out with a foot injury.

A groin problem keeps Paul Burns out while Stephen McKenna's heel injury rules him out again as manager Jim McIntyre looks to record his side's first win in five league games.

"It is hard to be critical of the players as they have deserved better results than we have secured," he said. "Alloa have had a better start after promotion than we have had but all we need to get going is a break in front of goal."
