CARVAJAL BELIEVES IT WOULD BE WORRYING IF CR7 WASN'T GETTING CHANCES TO SCORE - "Ronaldo should never have to apologise"

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal gave his view on Cristiano Ronaldo 's gesture when he opted not to celebrate his goal, after scoring from the penalty-spot. Ronaldo apologised to the fans because he believed he had not played well in the game and Carvajal said that the Portuguese "should never have to apologise".
"He had a few chances to score and didn't put them away. He'll put them away next time. It's not worrying. It would be worrying if he wasn't getting the chances to score", Carvajal added.
Carvajal said his team left "with a sweet feeling" after a "very complete" performance in which Madrid dominated in "all areas of play." Four of us in the starting-eleven were European under-21 champions, but that's just one side of it. We all gave our best", the Madrid full-back said.
"We tried to open up the play on both the left and right wings. This is what we're asked to do (by Ancelotti). We were told to cross the ball often and also from deeper areas. Teams normally defend deep and it's difficult to find a way through the centre. I think the team played really well and looked sharp. We closed them down high up the pitch and that gave us more options going forward", the defender added.
Carvajal also believes the game against Juventus at the Bernabéu on Wednesday in the Champions League is "important" and that the team is "gradually" beginning to reach a "high level of play".
