Cowdenbeath 5 : 1 Morton - Hemmings bags treble in rout

Kane Hemmings netted a hat-trick as Cowdenbeath thumped bottom side Morton 5-1 at Central Park.

Colin Cameron's team took the lead in the second minute when Jordan Morton slotted home left-footed from the middle of the box and added a second soon after as Hemmings rifled home from close range.

He added his second seven minutes before the break, sweeping home a right-footed effort into the bottom corner.

Morton pulled one back on the stroke of half-time when Dougie Imrie fired low past Thomas Flynn to offer a glimmer of hope but Greg Stewart added a fourth in the 71st-minute, smashing home Hemmings' pass from six yards out.

Hemmings completed his treble and the scoring seven minutes later by firing high into the middle of the next from the centre of the box.
