Grateful Falcao rejects Madrid

Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has thanked Real Madrid’s continued interest in him but has again insisted he is happy playing with the Ligue 1 club

Falcao has become a big hit with the principality club after scoring seven goals since joining from Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
But rumours of a quick return to the La Liga quickly surfaced after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez revealed on television that the Colombia international wanted to join the Bernabeu outfit.
“Falcao is a really great player and I believe he wants to play at Madrid,” Perez told the talkshow Punto Pelota.
“I know that, it is something normal. I have been told that."
But after current team-mate Jeremy Toulalan hinted Falcao would stay in France, the 27-year-old, who rejected the initial reports as ‘lies’, admitted he felt “very good” playing for Monaco.
"All I can do is thank Florentino for his words but I have to respect my current club Monaco, who have made me feel very good and I am very happy," Falcao said at a promotional event in Bogota on Wednesday.
"It doesn't seem right to talk about Real Madrid's possible interest at the moment out of respect for the institution to which I am contracted to as of today."
