Forfar Athletic 1 : 2 Stranraer - Stranraer hit back for points

Posted Sunday, October 13, 2013 by PA

Stranraer came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory at fellow Scottish League One strugglers Forfar.

Both sides had recorded just two wins apiece from their first eight matches of the season but it was Blues, now unbeaten in four, who claimed the spoils.

Chris Templeman headed home Gavin Swankie's cross to hand the hosts a fourth-minute lead but Stranraer turned the game around before half-time.

Jamie Longworth levelled with a well-taken effort from David MacGregor's pass before Chris Aitken found the top corner in the 36th minute.

Stranraer quartet Scott Robertson, Sean Winter, Andrew Stirling and Grant Gallagher all enjoyed chances to add to the scoreline after the break but it mattered little as the visitors held out for victory.
