The 20-year-old is determined to move to one of the "best teams in Europe" in the future to join the likes of Phillip Lahm but states he is currently happy with life at Schalke
Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler believes playing for Bayern Munich in the future would help cement his status as a world-class player.
The Germany international has been linked with a variety of teams across Europe but signed a new contract at the Veltins Arena in May.
However, Draxler has now revealed his admiration for the European and Bundesliga champions but emphasised his gratitude towards his current employers.
"Players like Basti [Bastian Schweinsteiger] and Philipp Lahm are the best soccer players of our generation," he told WAZ.
"That’s why Bayern are in my opinion the best team in the world and I think that world-class players always play for the best teams in the world.
"These are for me Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United.
"I say quite honestly that I dream of one day playing for one of these teams - but I also say that I’ve always loved Schalke. My family and I have much to thank the club for.
"But my dream is still to play for the biggest club in Europe."
Schalke's next Bundesliga fixture sees them travel to Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday October 19 after the international break.
