Diego Costa filling Falcao's boots

Diego Costa is grabbing most of the headlines at Atlético. His impressive goal-scoring run in La Liga has made him the current 'Pichichi' - along with Messi, as you would expect -, which has led Del Bosque to consider selecting him for 'La Roja' for his future squads.
Costa's run of ten goals in just seven games is simply astonishing. So far this season, the striker has only failed to score once – at the Anoeta against Real Sociedad -, while he bagged braces against Sevilla and Osasuna to hand Simeone all three points on both occasions.
Costa's sensational start to the season means he has done what even Radamel Falcao could not do in his two campaigns at the Madrid club: score in five consecutive games in La Liga.
The striker's two goals against Celta means he equals Diego Forlán's record for Atlético, when the Uruguayan scored in five consecutive matches during the 2008-09 season to take the Golden Boot.
