Pars hit for four by Forfar

Posted Sunday, October 06, 2013 by PA

Paul McManus's early goal set Forfar on their way to an impressive 4-0 hammering of second-placed Dunfermline.

His third goal of the season came after just two minutes when he latched onto a Christopher Templeman ball before coolly converting inside the area.

The lead was doubled after 15 minutes when Iain Campbell's free-kick was headed home by Stuart Malcolm.

Robert Thomson should have pulled one back after 21 minutes but headed wide from close range.

And Dunfermline were made to pay after 73 minutes when Gavin Malin rifled into the bottom-left corner.

The route was completed eight minutes later when Ryan Scully fumbled a Templeman cross and Dale Hilson was on hand to slam home from six yards.
