BRAZILIAN OPENS THE SCORING IN THE DERBY - Diego Costa is hot on Messi's heels

Brazilian striker Diego Costa is on fine form. The rated Atlético forward, who Vicente del Bosque will most likely call upon for the remaining two qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup, scored his eighth league goal by beating Real keeper Diego López in the 9th minute.
Costa got behind the Madrid defence and put the ball just inside the left-hand post of Diego López, who was powerless to do anything about it.
The Brazilian has added another victim to his list this season. He started out by putting two past Sevilla in the opening match, then proceeded to score against Rayo, Almería, Valladolid and Osasuna, before adding two more goals to his tally this very week.
Only Real Sociedad escaped being steamrolled by the mighty Brazilian in the third match of the season, who is earning himself quite a reputation in the process. But on that occasion it was down to Villa and Koke to put the ball into the back of the Basque team's net.
