Arbroath vs Forfar Athletic preview - Milne in fitness race

Arbroath player-manager Paul Sheerin will finalise his side for the Angus derby against Forfar after a late fitness check on striker Steven Milne.

Ricky Little is still out with a foot problem, but Alex Keddie will return from a month out with a back problem.

The Gayfield side will be without a back-up goalkeeper after they parted company with Tony Bullock this week.

Lari Yoa could start after scoring a hat-trick in a midweek bounce game and Sheerin said: "Lari looked sharp and he's in my thoughts to face Forfar. We played well in our last derby and beat Brechin.

"A repeat of that would be terrific."

Forfar will be without the injured Derek Soutar (shoulder), Mark McCulloch (knee), Martyn Fotheringham (ankle) and Keith Gibson (knee) again with manager Dick Campbell set to name the same team that lost 1-0 to Rangers last weekend.

Campbell said: "When we beat Rangers earlier this season we were poor for the next month afterwards.

"We got a lot of credit for our performance last week, but I'm looking for the players to just get on with things now, starting with a win at Gayfield.

"Arbroath will be really keen to stop us from winning and climbing above them in the table."
