Dundee vs Greenock Morton preview - Two back for Dee

Dundee welcome back Kevin McBride from suspension and Jamie Reid after injury against Morton

Leighton McIntosh (ankle) and Stephen O'Donnell (knee) continue to be absent, however, as the Dark Blues look to build on a fine performance against Inverness in midweek.

Assistant-manager Ray Farningham said: "We lost 1-0 and went out of the League Cup but the performance was much better. We attacked with purpose and only a great display from their goalkeeper stopped us pulling off a great result.

"Morton will be on a high after beating Celtic and we will need to play well again to win."

Morton are coming back down to earth after Tuesday night's 1-0 success over the Hoops.

David O'Brien is missing against one of his former clubs after he dislocated a shoulder in his side's Parkhead win.

Also missing for the Greenock men are the injured Thomas O'Ware (foot) and Joe McKee (ankle), with assistant-manager Mark McNally likely to be in charge following the sudden death of manager Allan Moore's brother.

McNally said: "It was a great few days for everyone on the football front but it is back to our bread and butter now.

"We have not won in the league for five games and we need to put that right."
