Ancelotti believes that Benzema Will Overcome the Crisis - Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti talked about Karim Benzema during his press conference, after the Frenchman was whistled at during the Getafe match at the Santiago Bernabéu.

When asked about the crisis which the Madrid striker is going through, the Italian was more supportive than critical: "I don't need to talk to Benzema because he's having good games. It's true that it's important for a striker to score goals, but I like the work he's doing. There's no need for concern at the moment. He likes to play well, to give his all. It's not a problem if people whistle at him once in a while. It's good every now and then to keep him motivated."

He also remarked on Gareth Bale: "We've got time to prepare him well for Saturday. Obviously he wasn't happy after the game, but that's changed today because he's starting to think about the derby." The manager denied that he had rushed the Welshman into the squad: "He played the first 60 minutes in Villarreal, and then 30 minutes in Turkey. He had no problem playing against Getafe. Then he had that small problem. It's not a muscle injury, or else he wouldn't have been able to train on Monday or today. The best thing is that we have not run any risks, so he might be available on Saturday."

The manager also praised Carvajal, who "has had a very good start to the season, improving game by game, despite being under more pressure due to being a youngster." He confirmed that Varane and Coentrao have recovered and announced that Isco, despite being a last-minute replacement for Bale, will start against Elche. He also revealed that Marcelo may be fit for the Atlético clash.
