US Sassuolo Calcio vs Inter Milan preview - Cambiasso hails Mazzarri impact

Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has hailed the work new coach Walter Mazzarri has done so far.

The Nerazzurri go into Sunday's game at promoted Sassuolo inspired by their strong start to the campaign.

Inter won their first two Serie A games before drawing 1-1 with Juventus in Milan last weekend.

"I like Mazzarri," Cambiasso said. "He knows what he wants and he's got personality.

"That is what you need at a big club like Inter.

"After three games we have let in just one goal and that came against Juventus.

"Our results so far are not by chance but rather down to Mazzarri's work."

Tuscan tactician Mazzarri, who led Napoli to a runners-up finish behind Juventus last season, replaced the sacked Andrea Stramaccioni this summer.

Inter will fancy their chances against Sassuolo, who lie at the foot of the standings without a point to their name.

The Neroverdi, who are coached by Eusebio Di Francesco, have struggled in every department.

They have the worst defence in the competition with nine goals conceded while they have managed to find the net just once.

Last weekend's 2-0 reverse at Verona marked their third straight loss.

"Despite our poor start to the season, I believe we can beat Inter," Sassuolo defender Reto Ziegler said.

"We need to hurt our rivals and the way to do that is by scoring goals and giving everything we have on the pitch.

"It's going to be difficult to play against Inter but we are playing at home and we have so much hunger to win.

"While Inter's aim might be the Scudetto, our aim is to avoid the drop and I can tell you that Inter will suffer on Sunday."

The hosts will be without central defender Emanuele Terranova, who sustained a knee injury in training this week.
