Ayr Utd. 2 : 2 Brechin - McLean rescues 10-man Brechin

Posted Sunday, September 22, 2013 by PA

Paul McLean scored a last-gasp equaliser as 10-man Brechin drew 2-2 with Ayr.

Brechin started the game on the back foot and things went from bad to worse for them when they were reduced to 10 men in the 33rd minute, with defender Graham Hay seeing red for serious foul play.

The hosts took the lead in the 43rd minute when Michael Moffat lifted the ball over Brechin stopper Graeme Smith.

They doubled their advantage two minutes later when Michael McGowan got on the end of Mark Roberts' cross to smash in from close range.

City pulled one back in the 68th minute when Alan Trouten headed McLean's pass into the back of the net.

McLean then snatched a point for his side when he lashed the ball home in stoppage time.
