Stranraer leapfrogged East Fife at the bottom of League One with a 2-0 victory over The Fifers at Stair Park.

The Blues took the lead after 21 minutes, when Martin Grehan was played in by Andrew Stirling, with the striker sweeping home a right-footed strike into the bottom-right corner.

Pat Clarke came closest to equalising for East Fife in the second half, but his effort was cleared off the line.

Stranraer doubled their lead on the hour-mark, with Jamie Longworth slotting home into the bottom left-hand corner after being set up by Christopher Aitken.

Frank McKeown almost added a third for the home side after 71 minutes, when his right-footed effort cannoned back off the post.

East Fife came close to pulling back a consolation goal in injury time, but Liam Buchanan screwed his shot wide.
