Levante vs Real Sociedad preview - Navas eyes another scalp

Keylor Navas hopes to cap a memorable week by helping Levante defeat Real Sociedad in the Primera Division on Saturday.

The goalkeeper returned to Spain this week in celebratory mood after Costa Rica booked their place at next summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.

Victory over USA and then a draw with Jamaica proved enough for Los Ticos with two qualifying games still to go.

Navas said at a press conference: "It's a dream come true for us and for the whole country. We expect to be at a good level in the World Cup.

"It was something I wanted for a long time. The whole country went out into the streets and everyone was celebrating."

Now Navas will turn his thoughts back to domestic football as Levante attempt to continue their encouraging response following a nightmare start to the season.

A 7-0 defeat by Barcelona on the opening day has been followed by a draw with Sevilla and victory over Rayo Vallecano last time out.

Real Sociedad also go into the clash on four points and coach Jagoba Arrasate has promised they will not have one eye on their first Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

"We will not save anyone for Tuesday," he said. "We'll get our best team to win at Levante."

Nevertheless, Navas hopes the close proximity of the match can help his side.

He said: "They're a very talented team. In midfield and up front they have quality players, and both individually and collectively they can do much harm.

"If they lose concentration we will try to take advantage of their mistakes to score and win this match.
