Stranraer 1 : 1 Ayr Utd. - Ayr maintain strong start with draw

Ayr remain second in Scottish League One, two points behind leaders Rangers, after coming from behind to secure a 1-1 draw at Stranraer.
The hosts were looking for their first point of the season and made the perfect start just seven minutes in, Sean Winter picking out Jamie Longworth who slotted home to send the Blues into an early lead.
The visitors responded, though, and Michael Donald went close with a curling effort before Michael McGowan levelled for Mark Roberts' men.
The Northern Ireland under-21 international was allowed time on the edge of the area and he duly hammered the ball beyond David Mitchell in the Stranraer goal.
The Honest Men went close in the second half when Adam Hunter's drive from distance finished up just the wrong side of the post but in the end both teams settled for the draw.
