Hamilton FC 4 : 1 Dumbarton - Keatings at the double for Hamilton
Posted Sunday, August 18, 2013 by PA
James Keatings scored twice as Hamilton made it two wins from as many games with a comfortable 4-1 win over Dumbarton.
In an entertaining opening the first chance fell to Dumbarton's Kevin Smith but he fluffed his lines with only Kevin Cuthbert to beat in the Accies goal.
His miss was punished as the hosts took the lead moments later when Keatings converted from the spot after Aaron Barry had fouled Grant Gillespie.
Hamilton doubled their lead soon after when Keatings grabbed his second as he turned in Jon McShane's cross.
Dumbarton hit back midway through the second half when Scott Agnew scored from the spot after referee Kevin Clancy spotted some shirt-pulling.
The comeback was short-lived though when Gillespie was allowed too much time to stroke home before Tony Andreu secured all three points for the Accies with an emphatic finish from the edge of the box.
