Stranraer vs Glasgow Rangers preview - MacGregor back to face Gers
Posted Friday, August 16, 2013 by PA
Stranraer defender David MacGregor is available for the first ever league visit of Rangers to Stair Park following suspension.
MacGregor sat out last week's 1-0 defeat to Stenhousemuir due to a one-game ban and the former Morton defender's return has given manager Stephen Aitken a full squad to choose from.
Aitken said: "We're a strong side at home, but this game is goingto be slightly different as there will be 10 times the crowd there than normal.
"Rangers were good against Brechin, but we have everyone available and that is a real boost.
"Our aim has to be that our players put in a performance that they are proud of."
Rangers manager Ally McCoist has defensive concern.
Emilson Cribari (groin) and Chris Hegarty (ankle) are both rated doubtful for the clash at Stair Park, although skipper Lee McCulloch returns from suspension.
The Light Blues can again call upon two trialists, as they wait for a transfer embargo to end on September 1.
