Toure: The Engineer will carry out any repair work City need

YAYA TOURE is tipping his new boss ‘The Engineer’ to carry out any repair work and get Manchester City back on track.

The Blues ended last season without a trophy and former boss Roberto Mancini paid the price with the sack in May.

Ex-Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini replaced him and Toure knows all about the man from his days playing in Spain.

The Ivorian said: “It was always tough to play against his teams.

“This guy is called ‘The Engineer’ because he works so hard to build such good teams.

“He is a fantastic manager and I hope he can lead us to some trophies this year. He is unbelievable. He comes with a great reputation and we are all working hard to try and deliver what he wants from us.

“He is a very good choice as manager and I hope he will lead Manchester City to a lot of success.

“We have to adapt to new methods but it will be fine.”
