GOALS TARGET ... Manchester City target Alvaro Negredo
MANCHESTER CITY target Alvaro Negredo has opened the door for a summer move from Seville.
The Spanish international forward is high on the wanted list of new City boss Manuel Pellegrini as he looks to replace Carlos Tevez.
Negredo, 27, says he is happy in Spain but admits his ambitions are not really being met and has not ruled out a switch.
He said: “Right now, I’m at Seville and like it very much.
“If I stay that’ll be fine but if I leave then it will be because it benefits both the club and myself.
“I’m happy on a personal level — but collectively we have not achieved the goals we wanted.
“Now perhaps I am at a decisive moment for my future.”
City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain has not travelled to South Africa for the first leg of the club’s pre-season tour.
Instead he has stayed behind to work on trying to secure City’s targets, which includes Negredo and also Fiorentina’s Montenegro forward Stevan Jovetic.
