Manchester City will listen to offers for Maicon, 31.
The right-back arrived from Inter Milan last summer for £3million with a glowing reputation, but is now third choice at the club due to Pablo Zabaleta's form and Micah Richards' return from injury.
The Brazilian is reportedly on £100k-a-week so Manuel Pellegrini may be will to part with the player, who has never really gotten over a humiliating evening against Gareth Bale in 2010.
Disappointing: Maicon has never quite been the same since facing Bale in 2010 (below)
Bale scored a hat-trick against in the Champions League up against Maicon at the San Siro, before inspiring Spurs to a 3-1 win over the Italian giants two weeks later at White Hart Lane.
Maicon said at the time: 'We knew what he could do, but he was impossible to control,' and has struggled against big teams since, including Real Madrid last season for City.
Another full-back who could be on their way out of Manchester is United's Alex Buttner, with Galatasaray and Besiktas showing interest.
