Giggs: Moyes will keep Utd on topRYAN GIGGS is certain David Moyes will keep Manchester United at the top of the game.

On Monday Moyes begins the daunting task of following in the footsteps of the legendary Alex Ferguson.

But veteran Giggs believes everything is set up for the new era under Moyes to continue in the same mould.

Giggs said: “First and foremost there are great players here and we have just won the league, so everything is in place for it to carry on.

“It is a challenge and, as a player, you always want to have challenges.”

Giggs, 40 in November, will be aiming to add to his 25 major honours after extending his Old Trafford contract by another season.

The Welshman is studying for his UEFA Pro Licence.

He is at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey as part of his coaching course and picking up new ideas.

Giggs added: “Everyone has their own style and everyone picks up slightly different things.

“Obviously, I’d be stupid not to pick up on the stuff I learnt from Sir Alex.

“I have been playing for 20-odd years and it is a new chapter in my life.

“It will be like being an apprentice again.”
