The Brazilian had been linked with a move to Barcelona but Paulo Tonietto says his client will be staying in France - regardless of Carlo Ancelotti's future
The agent of Thiago Silva has insisted that the defender will not leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer despite reported interest from Barcelona.
The Brazil defender moved to the Parc des Princes from AC Milan last year and was a key member of the side as they won Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
However, his long-term future in France has been the subject of speculation, with coach Carlo Ancelotti heavily linked with Real Madrid and a move to Catalunya being mooted, but Paulo Tonietto is adamant he is staying put.
"Is it true that Thiago would be willing to shrink his salary just to play at Barca? That possibility doesn't exist, Thiago will not go to Barcelona," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
"Will he stay at PSG? Yes, he will continue his career in France, with or without Ancelotti."
Thiago Silva made 34 appearances during his debut season at PSG.
