RARE GOAL ... Andrey Arshavin scores against Coventry
ARSENAL have released Andrey Arshavin, Sebastien Squillaci and Denilson as Arsene Wenger makes room for summer transfers.
Wenger has £100million to spend this summer. And he has begun by removing any potential obstacles to incoming signings.
The trio will have until the end of June to clear out their lockers.
For Arshavin, 32, it is a far cry from his 2009 four-goal haul at Anfield in a 4-4 draw that knocked Liverpool out of title contention.
He scored 31 times for the Gunners in 144 appearances but never built on his early reputation as one of the best attacking midfielders in the world.
France international Squillaci has made just 23 appearances in three years whilst Denilson has spent the last two years on loan at Sao Paulo.
The club said: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to wish Andrey, Denilson and Sebastien all the very best."
