Casillas: "My back? I'm always fit to play"

For the first time, Iker Casillas has made a comment about his absence for the Osasuna match. On being asked about his back, following Mourinho's comments in which he said he was "not fit", he answered: "I'm always fit to play".

The Madrid goalkeeper did not want to elaborate, opting not to explain further during the Confederations Cup launch by Italian media company, Mediaset.

- Yes, better.
- Were you well enough to play this weekend?
- I'm always fit.

Regarding national team coach Vicente Del Bosque's words of support for the goalkeeper, Casillas said: "I'd like to thank Vicente for his faith in me after four months without playing".
